Tour Italy Oasis Style

Many have asked over the years while on our trips to Israel, “What about other Bible lands?” We heard your requests and are happy to announce the first of series of new Bible land tours. Oasis will start its tours to Italy in November 2024!

At Acts 19:21, the Apostle Paul made clear his desire to visit the brothers on this Mediterranean peninsula. While in Asia Minor he “resolved in his spirit” that after visiting Greece & Macedonia he “must also see Rome.” We feel the same way. We must also see Rome and we can’t wait to do it with you! With the help of experienced local and Oasis guides, we will thoroughly examine Italy’s history, architecture and art through the eyes of scripture. This trip has been several years in the planning and research and we can’t wait to share it with you.

Where Do We Go?

A more extensive itinerary will be provided for those who actually book reservations for a trip, but below here is a small sampling the places we’ll visit:

  • Rome: The Colosseum, Roman Forum, Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, St. Peter’s Basilica, a walk on Appian Way, and dozens of other sites.
  • Florence: The Uffizi Gallery, Academia Gallery, Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore with it’s famous duomo, and many other sites.
  • Siena: Experience this gem of a Tuscan city that contains a special surprise

Land/Air Does Not Include:
Transportation to NYC All land-air passengers are required to be in NYC at least one day prior to the group’s departure date. 
Pre-nights in NYC Booking and payment of accommodations in NYC prior to your group departure date are your responsibility and are not included in the package costs above. 
Mandatory Full Coverage Travel Insurance Both Oasis and Gate 1 Travel require all travelers to have full travel insurance. You can provide your own or Gate 1 Travel can add a full coverage insurance policy for you through ARCH Travel Insurance.

  • Guide: Minimum €15 EUR (US$16 approx) per person, per day.
  • Driver full day: €6 EUR (US$6.50 approx) per person
  • Driver 1/2 day: €3 EUR (US$3.25 approx) per person

Land Only does not include:
Airfare and hotel transfers Your airfare to Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO). We require all land-air passengers to be in Rome no later than one day prior to the group’s arrival. You are responsible for your own transportation to/from FCO Airport and our Rome hotel. If you wish, Gate 1 Travel can add transfers to your reservation.
Pre-nights in Italy You are responsible for your hotel stay any nights prior to your group’s first night together. Pre-nights can be added to your reservation so you are staying in the same hotel where the group will arrive.

1Based on double occupancy (two people per room). Single travelers in a room by themselves incur a $1,150 single supplement fee from Gate 1 Travel.

A $1,500/person deposit is due to Gate 1 Travel within 5 days of receiving your reservation from them. This deposit is non-refundable. Full balance is due no later than 90 days prior to departure. The payment schedule and prior to departure penalty schedule is as follows:

  • 120 days prior to departure: 50% of total balance due and becomes non-refundable
  • 90 prior to departure: 100% of total balance due and becomes non-refundable

Seats on the tour are only secured once your deposit is made. If waitlisted for the trip, travelers are selected on a first-come, first-served arrangement, based on the date and time your application was completed. If you are serious about joining us for this year’s I Must Also See Rome trip, we humbly suggest you act quickly as seats will fill up within a few days.
